What is the best way to advertise a computer repair business in a metro area like Dallas/Fort Worth?

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

I’ve tried advertising in local classified publications that are distributed free (the kind you get at the front of supermarkets) but I’m not getting much results.

Should we build a wall to keep the Mexican out?

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

They work for cheap wages, hurting our wage potential
Most of their kids are gang members, increaseing crime
They are the majority population in many of our Texas citys
Why in the Texas revolution did we go to war with them, because now we are just giving it all back to them
All foreiners come over here and it is easier for them to get small business loans than it is for real Americans.
Dallas public TV has more spanish stations than English station, radio is the same way
They want spanish to be taught as a primary language in our schools
And the list continues.

Now with 18 months to go, will Arlington, Texas clean up for the Super Bowl in time?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

I am from the Dallas area and Arlington has been one of the worst areas of the metroplex for at least the last 15 years. The funny part is that the area where the stadium is located is just north of some of the worst areas. The Rangers are even about to go out of business! Many businesses are vacant and windows are missing and there are a bunch of teens running around thinking they rule things.
Can this be changed in time or did Jerry make a big mistake going there instead of Dallas?

What is a good way sucessfully make money by window tinting?

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

I used to work for a window tinter for a while. He was known around Dallas so he had tons of clients (leasing agents, dealerships, and ultimate consumers), and he made about $5000 a week give or take. I know it would take quite a while to get a customer base that large, but I want to start my own window tinting business. I’m a college student so this would be a way for me to make cash on the side.

I am going to purchase the supplies to start tinting again. After a brief period of “breaking the rust from the bolts” I plan to start looking for clients. Now what I am curious about is how should I go about this.

(I plan on being known as a mobile window tinter) So I do not have a shop, but my house has a small garage. I’m getting off target…basically what would you recommend I do to get my name out there?

Keep in mind I am poor college student.

Who is the rich villain in your town or city?

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Every town or city has a rich villain, like J R Ewing from the tv show ‘Dallas’, or Stephano Dimeira from ‘Days of our Lives’. They get rich by making borderline legal business deals and don’t care who they step on to accomplish their goals. In my hometown its Joseph V Butler. So, who is the rich villain in your town?
