  • ugly duckling says:

No. The National Enquirer isn’t quite as biased politically as Fox News is.

  • Elliott A says:

    Yes.

Because outselling is not an indication of quality.

  • enormous genitals says:

HLN is more like that. So sorry your leftist lie stations cannot compete.

  • Jared says:

    Yes, totally fair. lol

  • Lkn4trouble says:

    No…MSNBC has that title!

  • fatboy says:

You just can’t handle the TRUTH, can you…

  • Bert says:

    Fair, as in, accurate? No.

Fair, as in, your free to say it…yes.

I’m having trouble finding a source saying that the National Enquirer has more sales than those papers…perhaps you could link me to your source…or perhaps there isn’t one.

  • coldfuse says:

Could you tell us more about the National Enquirer? All I know is that it scooped everyone on the John Edwards story.

If it is truthful, fair and balanced then the comparison is valid.

PS: Here are the National Enquirer demographics. It is primarily women:

  • Zardoz says:

They certainly have the same level of journalistic integrity.

  • Jimmy says:

when you got to go to court to get the right to say your motto( fair & balance) sounds enquirersh to me

  • maxmom says:

Pretty much when it comes to their political entertainment shows (their commentary can only be viewed as entertainment).

When the cover the news, with no opinion, they do a decent job. That is if the choose to cover it. They don’t cover things that make cons look bad or Dems look good.

  • Requiem of Spirit says:

It’s an entertainment channel, what do you expect. Pornography as a category on the internet, sells more than almost every other function the internet serves except maybe chatting on networking sites, but it doesn’t mean it’s good

MSNBC and all the other networks are get less viewers because they are obssessed with that stupid thing called the truth

  • Lawgirl says:

Yes. And have you noticed how many people today have implied that dems can’t think for themselves. Meanwhile, those same people parrot Fox News.

  • KatrinaMina says:

national enquirer broke the Tiger “WOOD”, Monica Lewinsky, Michael Jackson and Rush Limbaugh doctor shopping, and that pretty dude who had a baby by one of his staffers…oh John Edwards stories.

While other papers slept on it.

  • g says:

I think it’s more like those Brittish newspapers… they pretend to be serious… but then are really a joke…

  • Walter XI JPA says:

Maybe it’s because all of those other papers are left wing BS.

But I’m sure that would have never occurred to you.

At least the NE can take the stress out of a normal workday.

  • El Tecolote says:

As long as you say the same about MSNBC, where the lead idiot seemed to have momentarily forgotten the President was black, and where former liberal news anchors the likes of Dan Rather can say the President couldn’t sell watermelons out of a roadside stand if the state police were directing traffic for him.

  • Dice says:

I would agree with the other poster, Msnbc is all about sensationalizing the GOP news stories,
    although they are entertaining .

  • ss794 says:

Nope. The papers listed are liberal papers. Try watching fox to get a 2-sided perspective. If you don’t think fox is balanced then you have not watched it.

  • how_would_I_know says:

I think I can see where there’s a valid comparison there for you.

As we all know, your kind is incapable of thinking for yourselves, and so all you know is the lies Obama tells you.

Now naturally, any truth, reality or common sense you see on Fox news would seem as absurd to you ( knowing Only Obama’s lies ) as a story about an alien giving birth to twins.

  • Rush Hates us for our Freedom says:

Probably not “The” but certainly “One of”.

  • skipfab74 says:

    Nope

  • in the vortex says:

I call them the news network for the Jerry Spring audience while Oprah is the show that CNN watchers watch.

  • V2 says:

They both are bottom feeders. As you know, this strategy always brings most revenue.

  • Zeve says:

It is more than fair because they are the National Enquirer of television. That’s why it sells. Just spit out distorted truths, half truths, exaggeration and hate and boom you have a great audience.

  • jsa62fl says:

the left’s hatred of fox news comes from the frustration they feel over not being able to attack ideas but having to resort to attacking people and entities like fox

if you can’t beat ‘em hate ‘em
and lie about them and spread hate and tell lies and call them racist homophobes and call them stupid doodieheads nanny nanny boo boo… lol….and of course all the time lets feel good about ourselves for destroying the successful…if we could only get wallmart and fox

  • right in the middle says:

fox news is the best news ive watched most of the reporters,or commutators will bring on the opposing view to debate them on their views and the problem you liberals hate is most of those debates are clearly won by a person other than a liberal i watched Al Sharpton say on fox with bill o reilly said he watched and heard the tapes of a tea party protester calling that liberal rep. a N Word and Oreilly called him out on it telling him their was no such tape or recording and Sharpton took his statement back saying their was no tape or recording for him to watch but at first their was i mean that is like a woman yelling rape when she was not that is a crime right!! Research your news i guarantee most conserves, and libertarians do and they read the bills put in front of them not pass a law then we can look at it i mean that sounds crazy

  • ethanph1337 says:

ALL the cable news stations are. Look at Wolf Blitzer on Jeopardy, what an idiot! Glenn Beck and O’Reilly as we all know are even more stupid. Actually, I think the National Enquirer has a better standard of integrity.

  • eric s says:

then, in that sense, it’s fair to say.

Fox News is the most trusted source in news.

MSNBC is a failure… just like Air America was.

  • Splitters says:

That shows you that people would rather read the lies printed in the National Enquirer than the lies printed in the other left wing rags.

  • goodluckwithhat says:

No, but let’s remember that The National Enquirer did break the John Edwards story and is up for a Pulitzer Prize, the highest honor in journalism. OK, maybe you do have a point. What was that noise?! A backfire?!

  • Nicholas J says:

I would say you just a resounding YES from the majority of responders. Kick out those who only had time to insult you personally and most of these Fox defenders are apparently happy to live with that comparison.

And why not? Both organizations have two priorities for a good story.. Sensationalism and lowest common denominator appeal..

How do you sensationalize politics? You say things like “progressivism is the new communism”. Which is of course retarded. They are by definition to very distinct things. But to the mass market that’s an exciting idea that validates them on some level….

Fox news employs just about every technique of persuasion and visual programming out there to control the opinions of their viewers. There may be a shallow attempt to let viewers draw their own conclusions from a report, but that’s very rare. 99% of the time stories are portrayed with strong byist and then followed up with an angry man or woman obsessively repeating that narrative. And then follow up with alleged experts to further exploit that narrative. They are ruthless with their editorial delivery. To me that state sponsored television programming format is the toughest thing to digest about Fox News.
