Everyone knows a few teachers who have been teaching for like forty years...you won't find many people working for the same company that long unless they own it. A word of warning, though...a LOT of teachers only last a year or two. Many people go into teaching with an idealistic attitude that they'll be the kind of teacher you see in movies, making a difference and inspiring people. Then they start work, realize that the kids are either indifferent or want to use the teacher as straight man in their little comedy act to impress their friends, and they end up disillusioned and depressed.
