why is it that in downtown dallas there is no one there? you could go during the day time on the weekday or weekend you don’t see anyone. i wonder how those restaurants keep business when you don’t see anyone. i’m talking about the area in downtown dallas where JFK got shot.

Living in downtown Dallas is great except for one thing. There is a company that advertises their business by sticking a faded magnetic strip with their company or restaurant’s advertisement on the door of their car or van (sometimes one, sometimes the other) and honks an air horn at pedestrians to get them to look at the advertisement. By Dallas law, what they are doing is in violation of the established noise ordinances, and I’m hoping to find out what company it is so I can speak with the management there. Has anyone seen this? Do you happen to know who? I can’t see it from my apartment window and after a year of this happening every night, I’m pretty fed up with it.
Any information would be appreciated.

In an age of Downtown Dallas revitalization, Downtown should have all the amenities including, but not limited to, ELECTRONICS RETAIL businesses. This includes something like a Circuit City, Best Buy, Radioshack or even Fry’s. It is kinda sad to see Downtown Dallas still suffering from a lack of retail businesses. Any answers are appreciated!

I am heading to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in March, around the time of March Madness. My boyfriend and I are looking for GREAT sports bars to watch the games at all day Thursday and Friday, as well as a GREAT place to get some amazing BBQ. We haven’t picked our hotel yet, so we’re really open to any location, just please help….:)

DART rail map shows a station south on DFW but it looks like is a few miles outside the airport?

30’s something male who is not necessarily interested in the ravenous club scene, but perhaps a native knows a nice spot to chill, or a cool must see for the full Dallas night life experience. I will be in town for 4 business days (all weekdays) starting May 19th.
