I’m an African-American optometry student with hopes of leaving St. Louis after getting my OD. I’ve lived in St. Louis all my life and have never been able to get far enough away from the ghetto. Crime here has become an extreme nuisance, so has the weather. Any of these 3 cities, could you please give me your honest evaluation on the following:
1. Crime/safety (I’m from STL, so it’s more violent crimes I’m concerned with)
2. Market for doctors. I want to have a diverse clientel, however, I at least want to make sure that I can PRACTICE in a city where there are a nice number of African Americans
3. Real Estate: looking for new areas–strong brick homes, cul-de-saq, gated, etc. I’d prefer to LIVE in an area/small city directly outside of either of these 3 cities; not technically in the city itself.
4. Entertainment: Sports, lakes, theaters, etc. Again, there’s a diff btwn where I want to live an practice. However, I’d to live among other Black professionals.
5. Climate

I have a chance to live in one of these cities for my job. I am married with kids, we’re a young couple in our 20s, I am a moderately high income earner, and looking for a great kid-friendly city with nice, safe suburbs.
We’re also evangelicals and conservative Republicans and we want a place where traditional values and embraced and valued. A great church-going community with a conservative atmosphere would be ideal.
We’re also very outdoorsy–love parks and hiking, etc. We enjoy sports–professional and otherwise.
Which one of the above cities would make the best fit?
Thanks!

It doesn’t look like the tmac TS light speed to me, or is it some special edition of it? Please provide me with the shoes full name and it’d be great if I can get a more detailed pic of it! Thanks!

Our magazine is going to do an article called “Coffee Wars” and will feature 5 coffee shops in each city, Dallas and Houston.
The criteria is they must be “business friendly” and cannot be a franchised shop, i.e Star***** etc.
If you’d like to nominate any, type them in here and also give us any URLS if they have any.
Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

heres my take, which seems pretty rational: dallas is a very large, diverse, and cosmopolitan city and is home to more Fortune 500 companies than any other city in the nation.
Besides it being a business “mecca”, it also has some of the best shopping and dining in the nation, with more restaurants per capita than even NYC.
Also, dallas is the fourth largest metro in the nation. It’s home to over 6.7 million people and is only smaller than new york, los angeles, and chicago.
Although Houston has the largest city proper in the state, dallas is home to the largest metro area, and has a lot more high-quality suburbs. I think the houston area is home to about 5.8 million people as opposed to dallas 6.7?
Also, the reason why more people live in the houston city proper is because houston has about twice as much land as DAL does, so more room for people to live. but dallas is more densely populated, and more people live in the dallas area. Lets hear opinions on both sides!

Wade Phillips says the starters are playing into the 3rd quarter. Will the Cowboys win tonight? or will they have another excuse tomorrow?http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/…
Even the Sportswriters in Dallas think the Cowboys are full of excuses.

I was at the following website: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/playoffs;_ylt=AmLViU5ojiqW2Pcc1cDnfZ.8vLYF
Toronto down 3-2 Nets game 6 away
GAME 7.* Sun, May 6 – at Toronto (TSN)
GSW up 3-2 game 6 at home
GAME 7.* Sat, May 5 – at Dallas, 9:30 pm EDT (TNT)
Houston up 3-2 game 6 away
GAME 7.* Sat, May 5 – at Houston (TNT)
They all do not know if there will be a game 7?
Houston has the bigest chance for a game 7 playing in Utah, other teams are home for game 6.
