Question by Tears In Rain: Where is the best place to raise a family near or in Dallas, Texas?
My husband and I don’t care about nightlife or entertainment outside of home. We want to move somewhere where rent on a 2-3 bedroom is around 6 hundred, but not to the ghetto. Any ideas?
what about just in Texas in general? any family oriented cities? even older cities?

I doubt that you can find anything that cheap in the DFW area without going to the ghetto as you say. If you can spend a little more, try Carrollton. Carrollton is just North of Dallas and fairly safe and relatively inexpensive – around 1000.

Cause I wanted my family to move to Highland Park and University Park but my mom says their houses are too overpriced and the people there are probably snotty. It seemed great cause of the beautiful neighborhoods and the school’s rep but now im like.. nah i’d rather not live in a place like that. and its surrounded by like.. ghettos.
So, I want to live in a great town with cool people n stuff. Never been to Texas before.. but my parents are thinking about Sunnyvale in Dallas. What is that place like? The school is new and im worried about how new high schools are.. cause they dont have much tradition and stuff. i dont wanna be a ‘test student’. so i wanna give my parents other options too. What are other great towns in Dallas? I’m black but we don’t wanna live in like too black areas because it means like more crime and stuff. So like basically a place with a great school system, great kids, stuff like that. I have a 4 year old brother so everything, not just the high school, has to be good!
Not like a hick town if theres any in Texas or a town thats too small. In my school my class has like over 700 people! It would suck to have a class with like under 400. And it has to be near Terrell cause my dad has a business there and stuff. So yeah, thats it.

I currently live in Charleston, WV and I’m moving to Dallas in August. In September, I need to fly back to WV for a wedding. Does anyone know of any airports in the metroplex area other than DFW and Dallas Love that might offer a flight? And I’m not sure how far away other cities are (like Houston or Austin) or anything like that, but would there be somewhere close out of which I could fly?
P.S. a second rate airline is fine…I don’t mind to not have drinks served and not have lay over…the main objective here is to find the least expensive flight possible!!

There is a storage building also there. It is similar to a garage. It is in very bad disrepair. How can I find out if the mobile home is possibly condemned, or if it is on the verge of being condemned. The trailer itself does have some large holes in the floor. This is in Texas. It is in an rapidly growing business area. Near DFW airport. The trailer itself is a 2 bedroom with an addon in the rear. My total lot fee a month would be $325. The price of the trailer would be $150 a month to buy, But it needs much repair also.The woman wants $3500 total for the trailer. Can anyone give me an Idea if this could be a deal. I’ve tried the rats from the pet stores, but they treat them like snake food, so they aren’t ever very friendly. Does anyone know where I can get really friendly rats near Dallas Tx? I’m willing to drive as far as I need to to find any. I’ve looked for ratteries online, but they all seem to be out of business.
